There is absolutely no doubt that Phylicia Rashad has always exhibited a timeless sense of beauty since portraying the role as Claire Huxtable. Since then, the 66 year old Tony Award winning actress has made sure to switch up her less than satisfactory eating habits to keep her looking and feeling healthy. Having been a spokeswoman for Jenny Craig, Ms. Rashad lost 40 pounds several years ago by making healthier food choices and incorporating more physical activity into her schedule.



Chaka Khan


She belted out the anthem, “I’m Every Woman” in 1978 and continues to rock the stage with the same fierce attitude we all love. Chaka Kahn, after being diagnosed with Diabetes, made the decision to change her life for the better. She has since cut out unhealthy carbs and replaced them with healthy options such as vegetables and quality, complex carbs. At 61 years old, she takes advantage of her active schedule and time with grandchildren as an added form of physical activity. Since implementing these new changes, Ms. Kahn’s lifestyle modifications have allowed her to lose an astonishing 70 pounds!

Angela Bassett continues to wow us each time she comes on screen. At the age of 55, she has clearly maintained a fabulous physique and glowing appearance. When it comes to living a healthy lifestyle, Ms. Bassett makes it a point to stay away from sweets, manage her stress levels and workout on a consistent basis. She also takes time to treat herself to facials in order to maintain the health of her skin.

Phenomenal-I’m sure that was the first word that came to all of our minds when we saw the recent vacation pictures of Jada Pinkett-Smith and her family. There is no denying that she puts in the work, time, and effort to keep her physique and appearance in tip-top condition. Sticking to a high protein, low carb diet, Jada, 42, makes it a point to stay away from junk food while squeezing in two workouts a day. It is this routine which helps her to maintain a lean and toned look.

At age 42, Sanaa Lathan still continues to give off the “girl next door” vibe. Having always been a bit health conscious, Lathan makes it a point to limit her calorie intake to help maintain her shape and drink a gallon of water a day to keep her skin glowing. us all to stay on top of our health and fitness plans. Known for her youthful and radiant appearance, she makes it a point to drink one gallon of water each day to maintain the health of her hair, skin, and nails. As a former high school and college athlete, Gabrielle has remained active throughout the years and is often featured in the tabloids for her fitness endeavors.



Ernestine Shepard


She may not be a celebrity, but Earnestine Shepard, a 77 year old bodybuilder, who has proven to us all that age should not be a reason to hold you back from reaching for you fitness goals. Holding the Guiness World Record as the Oldest Competitive Female Bodybuilder, Ms. Shepard began working out at the age of 56 along with her sister in an effort to improve her body image. After the passing of her sister, she made the decision to continue working on her fitness and health. Ms. Shepard states that she makes an effort to maintain a healthy diet and drink adequate amounts of water throughout the day. As a group fitness instructor, she reminds her students that age is nothing but a number and encourages them all to become fit.
