I f&%4ing hate FEAR! Yes, I had to add that in there because that is how much I hate fear. Fear is so mean and so fierce. Fear is powerful. False Evidence Appearing Real is so sneaky that it feeds off of the littlest things inside of your mind.

It keeps you stuck. It keeps you feeling chaotic. It keeps you feeling shameful and scared. Fear can kiss my…whoops! Let’s not go there but really FEAR has been working my nerves all year…like HARD!

Whenever I am ready to do something new…FEAR always has to announce her little self. I really wish she would leave me alone many days and I am happy to say that after about 8 months she finally has!

I appreciate FEAR. I really do. Fear is there is to remind us of potential danger and to be cautious before proceeding.

We all need some of that in our life. But, when FEAR gets to the point where it holds you back from moving forward completely then it is now a problem.

One of the techniques I learned from counselor and author of, Calling In The One,  Katherine Woodward-Thomas, is to release your fears-literally!

Fear not only shares potential danger with you but it is also there to remind us that we lack trust. Trust in our self, others, the world, and the universe. It is a reminder that we must learn to “let go” which is easier said then done.

Woodward-Thomas suggest getting some type of closed container or box and cutting a slit at the top.

My box is titled “My God Box,” based on Katherine’s suggestion but depending on your preferences you can name it your “fear” box or “fear coffin” or another higher power’s box. The basic premise of the box is to drop all of your fears, worries, and doubts into the box.

As you drop each one in on a slip of paper you say aloud, “Dear God, I am giving this concern to You. Please resolve it. I trust in you.”

After that, your fears have been given over to God or a Higher Power and this relinquishes all of your control for it. If it pops up again, you have to open the box and pull it out and give it again. Repeat as many times as necessary. This is not an easy process. Fears die hard and slow sometime.

Declare it now “I am fearless and free” every morning and every night!

You become what you believe. You receive what you believe. You are who you believe to be.

You fear the unknown, but the unknown fears your power and beauty more hence the reason why it works so hard to hold you back. You are really the one in control.

And so it is true…
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
